Oscarsman (IRE)
16.1hh | 11 year old | Bay gelding
'Oscar' is a very attractive and kind gelding, has a great temperament and is a good ride. He jumps well, doesn’t pull and will go out alone or in company. He retired from racing last year and would make an excellent riding horse. Currently being used as a lead horse for the youngsters, he is great to hack but has not been re-schooled.
Veterinary history - he has been hobdayed and soft palate cautery and has had a previous tendon issue. This has settled and he has raced with no issues since. Open to vetting but these should be noted to a vet beforehand.
Oscar has been seen to weave slightly very occasionally. Whilst he is quiet turned out with another horse, he gets anxious on his own so would need to be with a field pal at all times when turned out.
Thoroughly recommended, he would give someone a lot of fun! Oscar is one of the best horses we have had to be a general riding horse and should not be missed. He will need someone used to thoroughbreds though as although quiet he is forward.
Good home only, can be seen and tried at Angmering Park, West Sussex.
